Top Ten Tuesday REWIND! 10 Books I haven’t read that have been on my shelf forever

February 25, 2014 General, Top Ten Tuesday 17

Top Ten Tuesday is a meme hosted by the blog THE BROKE AND THE BOOKISH.  Every Tuesday, I love seeing these lists around my favorite blogs so I decided to jump into the fun and participate.  Please click the graphic above to see what other blogs are posting their top ten’s today!

Today is Top Ten Tuesday Rewind where you can pick any top ten prompt from the past.  I chose “Top Ten Books That Have Been On My Shelf For The Longest But I’ve Never Read.”  I’ve included books that are on my physical shelf and my Kindle shelf in addition to a classic that I’ve had forever but never read.

On my bookshelf…

White Cat by Holly Black

Vampire Empire by Clay Griffith and Susan Griffith

Lonely Werewolf Girl by Martin Millar

Cold Magic by Kate Elliott

On my Kindle…

Claire Dewitt and the City of the Dead by Sara Gran

Master of Crows by Grace Draven

Blackout by Connie Willis

The Hundred Thousand Kingdoms by N.K. Jemisin

A Dance with Dragons by George R.R. Martin

And a classic I’ve had for…a while

Anna Karenina by Leo Tolstoy

Have you read any of these?  Which one should I read first?

That series is soooooo good. I think I burned myself out reading them so fast that when Dances with Dragons came out, I decided to take a breather!

There are a few books on there that have been on my to read list for ages too, that I actually finally managed to get to last year! Cold Magic was one. And you should give Vampire Empire a bump up, I very much enjoyed it.

And wow, you have Master of Crows! It was quite the nice, sultry read 🙂

Yes, I’ve heard there are some good sexy times in Master of Crows but every one is making me think Vampire Empire is the way to go!

You have got to read Vampire Empire. It was an amazing series that is in my top 5 favorites. I really wish they would write more. I read the first book in like a day and immediately bought the next two.

I really enjoyed White Cat – but have yet to finish the trilogy! I also stopped on the third book of Song of ICe and fire because hey its going to be FOREVER before that series is done and I do NOT want to reread that particular epic fantasy so I’m waiting til its done.

I have been meaning to read Hundred Thousand Kingdoms and Vampire Earth forever as well!
